Stop and think, is the first key to improving your vehicle gas mileage. You should be avoiding driving short distances. You can walk one mile, and if you want to argue with that statement then you need to walk a mile on a regular basis.

OK, OK, I hear the complaints from the disabled, and I agree it is difficult but unless you walk you will lose the use of your legs. Without the use of your legs and when the oil runs out you will be out of options.

What then are the ways we can save on our vehicle gas mileage? Let me suggest that if you drive to see someone regularly that you go less often, and spend proportionately more time with them. I know that if you have an invalid who needs help on certain days to get up and dress, it is impossible to change that and cut it down. Even when it is visiting a relative who is getting older and lonelier on a regular basis it is not easy.

A journey of several hundred miles every month to visit an elderly parent, can be time consuming, as well as adding wear and tear on the car, the family and especially on the driver. It is good if you can still enjoy driving on crowded freeways and city streets, but it still takes its toll. Better the effort now than the regrets later.

But how can I get better gas mileage?

You might have changed your car a short time ago, and it runs more efficiently but the costs per month have now risen, because of the price of gas. It is more expensive to make the payments for the new vehicle and to also put the fuel in the tank than it was to put fuel in the tank of the old vehicle.

Cutting down to one car is not necessarily a viable option for many people as the public transport has become even more expensive and even less inviting. What can I consider as I am spending more than I am receiving and I can’t manage any more? Several years ago I heard the phrase “there’s a lot of the month left at the end of the money” and it is even truer today. So cutting costs is essential to manage in today’s hectic lifestyle.

The advice is to look at putting an additive in with your fuel to cut down your fuel consumption. The recommendation is eeFuel. This may not be the best option for everyone because we all drive differently over different roads and in different neighborhoods, but you should try it out.

Set a period of about two months to drive with the additive and make a careful note of how many miles you drive. We all need to realize that driving a long distance we will get better fuel consumption but if these long drives are repeated on a regular basis they just add to our fuel bills. By making careful notes, you may be able to cut down on the short distance chores that you need to do.

Amalgamate them into one trip and see the mileage go down, so you travel and do the same chores but more efficiently than before. Only as you take a time to evaluate how well the additive works in our car with you driving will you find out if this one is the best for you. The fuel consumption will vary wildly with different people driving the car especially if there is anyone who doesn’t directly contribute to paying for the fuel.

Buying another car for them may not be an appropriate expense or save you a lot of fuel but making them responsible for the costs of transportation, especially taking it out of their monthly allowance may help them grow up and drive more economically.

So get the additive and add it every time there is fuel added to the tank. Then you can see how to improve gas vehicle mileage for you, your family and your business.
